To begin with, let us teach your students about how the plague began. What caused it? Where did it spread to? How deadly was it?
Once the students reach the story of the village of Eyam, there will be a chance to re-enact (in groups) and dramatise how the plague spread through the village. They will get a chance to show how panic and fear may have spread through the people. They will see how the village decided to isolate themselves from the outside world so as to contain the plague – even if that meant certain death for the inhabitants.

Checklist
Group Size
Up to 90 children (3 classes) can take part in a full days workshop. For large groups we will need to split the day up slightly.
Space
A big hall is ideal for large groups. However quite often we can fit into one or more classrooms dependent on the group size.
