In More Detail…
Let us teach you and your students all about life in the Tudor courts. The first thing they will learn is how to greet their Tudor King or Queen. After this, the ruler visiting you will teach the children how to do a courtly dance, the question is, will they be able to impress our monarch with their skills?
We will teach the students about Henry VIII, his six wives, and the heavy fates that were in store for each of them. We bring in some Tudor punishment artefacts for the children to handle. Hopefully their behaviour won’t land them in ‘The Brank’ for gossiping.
Find out about what entertainment that Tudor people enjoyed, including some board games that are still played by people today.
No Tudor workshop would be complete without learning about how it all started with ‘the war of the roses’.

Checklist
Group Size
Up to 90 children (3 classes) can take part in a full days workshop. For large groups we will need to split the day up slightly.
Space
A big hall is ideal for large groups. However quite often we can fit into one or more classrooms dependent on the group size.
