In More Detail…
Let us take you back to the times when we first settled on the British Isles. We will teach the students about the last great Ice Age and how it caused changes which evolved our world into what it is today. The students will look at cave drawings and come up with some of their own designs. They will learn about their importance and what archaeologists believe their use in society was. They will also learn about the great turning points of the Stone Age, including the discovery of fire and the fact that humans had started to form communities.
We will have the chance to look at Stone Henge and even create some of our own using our “mini Henge kits”. The children will also learn how the introduction of Bronze and then Iron helped to advance mankind in both terms of technology and growth.
