In More Detail…
Jump aboard our Titanic ship and hand your ticket to captain Edward Smith. Some of you will be first class, some second, and some third class passengers! The students will get the chance to explore objects and artefacts that would have been available on the ship to the passengers. Next comes the safety demonstration. Can the students survive their training for any problems that may arise at sea? Before setting sail, we will write a postcard to our loved ones to let them know we’re safely onboard.
Next, the students will explore the menu and life in the different classes of the ship. Where would they prefer to have travelled themselves? The students will explore what the moments leading up to the iceberg might have looked like. They will use drama and roleplay to recreate how it may have been in the moments after the titanic hit the iceberg and started sinking.
Finally, the students will construct a group postcard to our loved ones to let them know how we feel in the current situation. Do we think we’ll make it out alive? We finish the day with a song about the titanic and a quiz to test who remembers what about that fateful journey.
Why not book our workshop and give your students a taste of life at sea?
